A small business account at Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union is designed to help your enterprise become stronger and more viable. It offers many more services than a standard personal account. Everything you need, in fact, to get your business rolling and maintain its success. These specialized services help you manage the financial aspects of your small business for greater efficiency, ease and convenience.

Four levels of service to meet your needs.
Because we know that businesses grow in stages, we have designed four classes of small business accounts – Value, Plus, Select and Premier – to fit your evolving business needs. Chart shows the level and fee schedule of each.

The credit union reserves the right to amend these plans from time to time. You will be notified of any changes 30 days prior to any change. Refer to Fee Schedule for Share Accounts for other applicable fees and charges.

Lower fees. Lower minimums.
Compare us to other financial institutions.  We have many of the same services at reduced fees. Our minimum requirements are also much lower. We do not charge a per-check or per-deposit fee like many others do. Bottom line: Money saved!

Small business checking accounts.
Your small business checking account features a number of great benefits, including the payment of dividends on your balance if applicable (see chart). Your first box of selected small business account checks is free of charge. A variety of check styles, along with computer and laser checks, is available.

Merchant program.
The merchant program (electronic format only) gives your customers the option of paying for their purchases by major credit card. To post charges to the customer's account and receive credit for the purchase, you must purchase a magnetic card reader terminal and a printer/imprinter. There is a low, one time, set-up fee and a nominal monthly service charge.

Merchant Window.
On a time crunch? No doubt you are if you are running a business. That's why our express merchant window at the Kailua and Kaloko branches are open to give you fast track service.

Who is eligible?
Small business accounts are available for sole proprietorships, partnerships or corporations. The sole proprietor, all partners, or all officers of the corporation must be eligible in their own right to become members of the credit union.

Letters of Credit.
If you need to undertake a project that requires a lot of cash or a guaranty, you can come to HCFCU for a letter of credit. We offer two types:

A commercial letter of credit, which is payable upon presentation of a draft and other specified documents; and a stand-by letter of credit, which is payable upon presentation of a draft and/or a certificate of the beneficiary that indicates the member is in default in performing an obligation. The letter of credit is not the primary means of payment but is used as an assurance of performance by the member. Please ask an MSS at any branch for more information about letters of credit.

Business Purpose Loans.
You can take out business loan with either a one time loan disbursement or a revolving line of credit with a balloon payment (commercial, corporate, investment or business venture). This loan may be secured by vacant land or an investor property. For further assistance, please stop in and see a loan officer or manager at any branch.

	Business-Line-of-Credit Loans for SBA. You can also get an unsecured revolving line of credit. The line of credit can be used for overdraft protection on your business checking account. For further assistance, please stop in and see a loan officer or manager at any branch.	SHARED BRANCHING: SHARING THE CONVENIENCE. Our credit union is a member of the statewide Hawaii network. Likewise, our CU Service Center nationwide shared branching network gives you networking across the country and in some international locations. Use these branches as though they were your home branch of HCFCU. You can make deposits, cash checks, make loan payments and perform just about any other credit union transaction.
