Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union supports your small business with a variety of services. We'll help you get your business up and running, whether you've been around a while or are just starting up.

Merchant credit card program.
The merchant program (electronic format only) gives your customers the option of paying for their purchases by major credit card. To accept charges to the customer's account and receive credit for the purchase, you must purchase a magnetic card reader terminal and a printer/imprinter. There is a low, one time, set-up fee and a nominal monthly service charge.

Letters of Credit.
If you need to undertake a project that requires a lot of cash or a guaranty, you can come to HCFCU for a letter of credit. We offer two types:

A commercial letter of credit, which is payable upon presentation of a draft and other specified documents; and a stand-by letter of credit, which is payable upon presentation of a draft and/or a certificate of the beneficiary that indicates the member is in default in performing on obligation. The letter of credit is not the primary means of payment but is used as an assurance of performance by the member. Please ask an MSS at any branch for more information about letters of credit.

Save time and use the express merchant window. Kailua and Kaloko branches only.

Select Employee Groups (SEGs).
Save your employees time and offer them convenience by participating in our SEG program. Available to businesses, companies and groups who qualify for membership. In-house credit union services are provided by your staff member assigned to be the credit union liaison. Primarily, services include opening new accounts, payroll deposit/deduction setup and update, check re-orders, distribution of loan applications and other timely credit union information. You can offer the SEG program as an employee benefit that saves workers time during the workday by having certain services available right on the job. At the same time, the direct deposit program will help you reduce costs and save time by eliminating the paper check process.
